Alfredo Covino è nato nel 1973 a Roma. Dopo gli studi nella sua città, complice un concorso pubblico superato nel 1996, si è trasferito a Genova, dove ha vissuto per quattro anni. Nel 2000 ha scelto di rientrare a Roma e ha iniziato a studiare fotografia, prima all'Istituto Europeo di Design (IED), poi all'Istituto Superiore di Fotografia e Comunicazione Integrata (ISFCI).
Nel 2009 è entrato a far parte dell'agenzia fotografica On Off Picture e, nello stesso anno, ha cofondato Punto di Svista, associazione culturale e di ricerca sulle arti visive.
Ha esposto in mostre personali e collettive. Attraverso la fotografia documentaria esplora diversi temi: le connessioni tra luoghi, memoria e assenza, la trasformazione dei territori, le interazioni tra uomo e paesaggio.

Alfredo Covino was born in 1973 in Rome. After his studies in his city, thanks to a public competition passed in 1996, he moved to Genoa, where he lived for four years.
In 2000 he chose to return to Rome and began studying photography, first at the European Institute of Design (IED), then at the Higher Institute of Photography and Integrated Communication (ISFCI).
In 2009 he joined the On Off Picture photographic agency and, in the same year, he co-founded Punto di Svista, a cultural and research association on the visual arts. He has exhibited in solo and group exhibitions. Through documentary photography he explores different themes:
the connections between places, memory and absence, the transformation of territories, the interactions between man and landscape.
